Each year during the Lenten season, we hold our annual FBC Missions offering, which is divided equally among our Ministry Partners. These are also organizations with whom we seek to do hands-on ministry, either through organized group projects or through individual ongoing volunteer ministry.
Marc and Kim Wyatt are CBF Advocates for Internationals who run Welcome House Ministries in the Raleigh/Durham area. They help refugees from many countries make the transition to a new way of life in our country.
Karen in North Africa is a CBF Field Personnel appointed to pastoral ministry with the local Protestant Church in Northern Africa as they serve the needs of their vulnerable migrant and refugee neighbors.
Our first local Group is also run by CBF Field Personnel. Jessica Hearne directs Grace and Main Fellowship which ministers to the homeless and poor in the Danville area.
God's Storehouse is another of our long-time ministry partners, with FBC having joined with several churches to get it started years ago. They provide food to as many as 200 families a day, and many of our members volunteer there.
Another ministry partner is The Good News Jail & Prison Ministry. Our donations help them to buy Bibles and other religious materials for inmates and provide staff to counsel them.
Boys and Girls Club of the Danville Area is our newest ministry partner. They provide after school care, homework help, guidance, and friendship to dozens of area children.
At FBC, we view our donations to and volunteer work with these great organizations as a way of showing God's love in our community.
